Dallas Europa Prep Log: Show day 2- Finals

Current AM weight and pics: 216.0lbs

So having the heavy meal the night before held my fullness really well. I woke up at 216.0. I still looked really hard but I know I could pull some more water today and get even harder for finals, but keep this very full look. The big learning point from yesterday was as the diuretic wore off from the morning and maintaining the same water amount I was doing starting bringing my weight up faster and gaining more fullness. So, this is great to know for the future as to know how to adjust dyazide and add water to gain fullness. But this is also where you reach the territory of spilling over. So game plan today was to just maintain this fullness I really was going to need a lot of food to do it. But I wanted to limit water more and get another dose of Dyazide in with meal 1. I planned to keep in 50g of carbohydrates with my meals and just monitor my weight and look. I took a 1/4 tab of dyazide with meal 1 and 6oz water, I kept salting all meals for finals. I didn’t drink any water between the meals and took pics again about 2 hours after meal 1, see below.

As, you can see in the pics I started tightening up more, however I was not peeing. This meant the sodium from last night was holding well and I didn’t have enough dyazide in my system to drive it out. So, I decided to take another 1/4 tab of dayside with meal 2 and keep the meal the same as meal 1. Two hours later I took pics again to compare. See below:

Now I was really hardening up, you can really see it in my quads. The lines are deeper and harder, which makes them just pop more. So, no other changes needed to be made I would go into meal 3 as a repeat of meal 2. I did start peeing at this point, so water was being dropped.

We all headed over to the show venue before I had meal 3. I had to go get tanned again at 12:30pm before finals. For whatever reason, my legs got so fatigued standing so long drying in that tanning booth. Outside of shaving it is my second most hated thing in bodybuilding. But, the Pro Tan crew did a killer job, It was my best experience with a tanner yet. You can see from my stage pics below my color was awesome, I couldn’t have been happier with that. After tanning I ate my pancake pump meal at 1:30pm. All that was left was to wait for stage time and pump up and eat my honey and salt water.

Walking on stage at finals was such a great feeling. I was so satisfied with my look, it gave me so much confidence walking out there. I had a blast at finals, just smiling away and enjoying myself. I got 5th place, but there is not a placing that could take away my satisfaction in truly brining my all time best to stage. The line up was very competitive and I can’t complain at all with 5th. I will post up next time, my break down for my physique and my future plans. This show gave me a lot of insight on what I need to improve on, so improvements will be on the way!

Congrats on the placing , the work put in, the tan, everything looked to be on point.
Interesting with the water intake and how your body held it with the D.
The last show I did, this worked well.
I begin D on Friday at Noon/ 12.5 / prescribed just like yours.
I cut my water intake( 1/2 gallon on Friday, I cut that off at 4pm, I brought water and sea salt back in at 8pm
When I would pee, I would drink 2oz water
Sea salt was in there on 4 meals through Thurs, then lightly on meal 1 and 2 friday, none on 3/4 but back in for 5/6 and each meal Sat.
Another D was taken at 5pm and at bedtime.
I took another Sat around 7am / 30mins before meal 2.
I was drier than a burned biscuit by the time pre judging started and got drier the rest of the day with the same protocol on water.
Before pump up, I had 3oz bcaa:
After pre I had 8oz diet coke
Then back to 2oz water everytime I peed all the way til finals.
It was no doubt my best look ever but I know carbs played a huge role in this as well.
* 1 shot of Fireball 30 mins prior to pump up. Forgot to mention

Just something to maybe play around with sometime.
