Dallas Europa Prep Log: Show day 1- prejudging

Current AM weight and pics:

*pics first thing AM: 213.6

So, the salty French fries did keep some weight on me I weighted 213.6lbs this morning, just a 3lb drop overnight. I was looking very tight and still really full. I started the day off with my normal meal of chicken, rice, and almond butter. I wanted to keep fluids a little lower between meals today to start to see if I could dry out more. Two hours after meal one I weighed myself and I dropped 2 lbs and I was looking flatter in the chest, so I knew I needed to increase fluids back to 16 oz between meals like I had done yesterday.

At this point I had to just plan ahead and pack for the expo. I needed to tan at 12:30pm, so I brought two chicken rice meals with me, a muffin, rice cakes, almond butter, honey and salt. Pretty much whatever I think I might need to add in. I finished tanning and made sure Pro tan used 2 final coats and me and it was perfect. They did such a good job being thorough and made me dark as I needed. I got my meal 3 in and just sat around and kept waiting for stage time. The sitting and waiting is forever at these shows. NPC was running long, so they pushed us back to 3:00pm. I went ahead and ate my pancake and almond butter. This meal has no protein and I try to time it about 90 minutes prior to stage time. This way I get good digestion and let it actually fill out the muscle.

For pumping up I am real simple. About 10 minutes prior to stage time I just take 2 chairs and do push ups between them. Between sets I will take squeeze a little honey into my mouth and take sips of a 4oz salt water solution. This will give me a rapid increase in serum sodium and pull water into the intravascular space for better vascularity.

I hit the stage and it felt great up there. I felt so confident in my look, I wasn’t nervous at all. I just put in my head that I am a champion and pose at there like I already won it. I have to say the callouts were very confusing and they mixed us around a lot. Many guys I talked to after getting off stage were just confused and/or angry. I think they did it that way to keep everyone on point for finals the next day. I just have to stay positive and be happy I brought my all time best to a pro show that I coached myself.

Post stage I immediately drank 2o oz water and headed back to my apartment. I ate another chicken and rice meal but added in a muffin for something calorie dense from all the posing I did. I weighed a little over 215 after that meal. The look was still very full and hard. I packed up one more meal and head over to Extreme Iron Gym, here in Dallas for an Animal ABC event. I ate meal 6 and I got in a chest pump workout just to intitiate a stimulus to help with loading my glycogen. I chose chest cause it is an area that keep going flat this whole show.

*pics post pre judging and meal 5: 215.6

Once I got back to the apartment I ate my last meal. I went for another calorie dense meal by adding a muffin to my normal meal. This had my weight up to nearly 219 prior to bed and I was about to explode with fullness. I took a 1/4 tab dyazide to keep pulling water that had accrued from the carb up for the day. I will update ya’ll tomorrow and get the final verdict for finals!
