So, I dropped weight and looked super hard today. Just like I was hoping it worked to pull off some fatigue that had built up and I dropped a lot of water, I was peeing all night long. Woke up today and looked my best thus far. I would encourage everyone to take a long prep to account for a slow fat loss rate and allow for high carb days at miainence calories. So, this might look like 5-7 days in a calorie deficit and 1-2 days at maintenance. This will add up to you having to diet for longer, but the research is supporting greater lean mass retention and less decreased in metabolic function by doing so. Last year on prep I stalled around this weight and the decision was made to push harder and fucking hell it made prep hard and not effective.
So, plan for today was to do one more high day. I think this will have me so fresh and going back to less aggressive deficit will be productive again. My high days have been 400c/250p/25f and previously I was at 190c/310p/25f. So, I am going to adjust to 260c/250p/25f and keep cardio at 35min AM only. If you see I lowered protein to enable myself to have a higher carb intake which will keep my strength up. Keeping strength up will provide much more stimulus for muscle to stick around then the extra 50g of protein. Don’t believe me then try it. Think about which would cause less gains, training 5 reps shy of failure and eating more protein or train hard as fuck at failure and eat 50g less protein. This is an easy answer. Most people already train look pussies and eat a ton of protein and they still aren’t changing. Sorry my protein rant is over lol.
